ABOUT ZAK KENT

Right-handed starting pitcher that was drafted by the Texas Rangers during the ninth round of the 2019 Major League Draft. He was selected from the Virginia Military Institute.

He is a graduate of Northumberland High School in Heathsville, Virginia. While there, he played baseball, football and golf.

He logged a career-high 109.2 innings during the 2022 minor league season. He was later named the 25th best MLB prospect in the Rangers' farm system. He has also played for the Round Rock Express.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Henrico, Virginia.

He shares a February 24th birthday with Daniel Kaluuya .
