ABOUT ZACK KELLY

Professional pitcher that was signed by the Boston Red Sox in 2021. He previously pitched in the Los Angeles Angels and Oakland Athletics minor league farm systems. Prior to his professional career, he played collegiate baseball at Newberry College

He is a Lord Botetourt High School graduate. He attended his high school from 2011 until 2014.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Minnesota Twins on August 29, 2022 as a member of the Red Sox. He is only one of four people to ever attend Newberry College and play in the majors. He is known amongst his teammates for his unique changeup.

He grew up living with his family in Roanoke, Virginia.

He pitched against Carlos Correa and Nick Gordon during his major league debut.
