Venezuelan pitcher who won the 2014 World Series as a member of the San Francisco Giants. He previously pitched for the Arizona Diamondbacks from 2007 to 2009.
He was born in Maracaibo and was originally signed as an international free agent by the New York Mets in 2001.
He set a Major League record by retiring 46 consecutive batters in 2014.
He married Veronica Salas.
He won the 2014 World Series alongside Giants teammate and series MVP Madison Baumgarner .
