Rapper who has won acclaim for his socially-conscious, politically-charged rhymes, as heard on tracks like "Dreamin'," "On Se Connaît" and "Menace de Mort." He has served as a songwriting teacher on the French reality show Popstars.
He lived in the Democratic Republic of the Congo before moving to France at age 10. He dedicated himself to music after earning his Master's degree.
He was nominated for an MTV Africa Music Award for Best Francophone in 2014.
His full name is Youssoupha Mabiki. He is the son of musician and political figure Tabu Ley Rochereau .
