ABOUT YANQUIEL FERNáNDEZ

Former teenage baseball phenom that was originally by the Colorado Rockies as an international free agent in 2019. He was eventually named one of the Rockies' top 100 MLB prospects just a few years later. He primarily plays the position of right field.

He initially began his professional baseball career with the DSL Rockies rookie affiliate team. He was later promoted to the Fresno Grizzlies in 2022.

He collected his first career hit in the majors while facing the Chicago White Sox on July 4, 2025. He recorded at least one hit in three of his first four major league games.

He grew up living with his family in Havana, Cuba.

He played alongside Germán Márquez as a member of the Rockies during his rookie season.
