ABOUT YAGAZIE EMEZI
Photographer whose work has been commissioned by a number of publications, including Al-Jazeera, New York Times, and Vogue. In 2017, she participated in the World Press Photo Masterclass West Africa event.
She obtained degrees in cultural anthropology and african studies from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. She'd begin blogging in 2011.
In 2016, she hosted a seminar titled Narratives Through Photography at the Social Media Week Lagos conference.
She is originally from Aba, Nigeria and would move to the U.S. when she was 16.
Both she and actor Hugo Weaving were born in Nigeria.
