ABOUT XAVIER DUURSMA

Professional Australian rules footballer who plays for the Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League. He has 30,000 followers on Instagram.

He was recruited by Port Adelaide with the 18th draft pick in the 2018 AFL Draft. He made his AFL debut in Port Adelaide's win over Melbourne in the opening round of the 2019 AFL season.

His "bow and arrow" goal celebration, for which he has earned the nickname the "Sharpshooter,"  was inspired by Detroit Pistons NBA star Reggie Jackson .

He is the nephew of former Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne player Jamie Duursma. His sister Yasmin plays for Port Adelaide in the AFLW.

After the 2020 AFL season, he inherited the number seven guernsey from retired veteran Brad Ebert . His current Port Adelaide teammates include Travis Boak , Ollie Wines , and Robbie Gray .
