Wicket-keeper who won the Duleep Trophy with East Zone, and played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in Ranji Trophy from 2008 to 2010.
He played for the Under-19s and the Under-22s team before stepping up to first-class cricket.
He became the 15th Bengal player to score 100 in his Ranji debut.
He and his wife were photographed posing with the Duleep Trophy.
He played unexpectedly in a 2010 Test against South Africa after V.V.S. Laxman was ruled out due to injury.
