ABOUT WILFRIED NANCY
Retired club defender and athlete that originally began his professional soccer career with SC Toulon in the year 1995. During his ten-year club career, he primarily played in soccer leagues across the country of France. In the year 2023, he was hired to be the head coach of the Columbus Crew of the United States MLS League.
He first began playing soccer at the age of 11. Growing up, he played within the SC Toulon youth academy.
While coaching CF Montréal, he led his squad to the 2021 Canadian Championship. Just two years later, he led the Columbus Crew to a 2023 MLS Cup. He stands 6'1" tall.
He lives along with his wife, Nancy, and their two children. He is of Guadeloupean father, and he is of Senegalese and Cape Verdean descent.
While serving as the Columbus Crew's head coach during the 2023 MLS season, he coached Darlington Nagbe and Diego Rossi .
