ABOUT WENDY SMITH
English musician best known for her work as singer and guitarist of pop band Prefab Sprout. She stayed with the band until 2001, and performed on six of their studio albums. She has worked as Director of Contemporary Music for Sage Gateshead concert venue and musical education center.
She joined Prefab Sprout in 1983.
She posts nature photos on her wendy___smith Instagram account. She is a supporter of the sustainability non-profit organization, Forum for the Future. She moved into teaching after becoming pregnant and the Prefab Sprouts being inactive.
She has a son named Finn.
She and her bandmates in Prefab Sprout collaborated with guitarist Martin Taylor on their 1997 album Andromeda Heights.
