ABOUT WAYNE MILLNER

Pro Football Hall of Fame end for the Washington Redskins had a reputation for showing up for the big games.

He was a member of the unbeaten Notre Dame football team that faced off in 1935 in a memorable game against equally perfect Ohio State.

At the 1937 championship game against the Chicago Bears, he caught touchdown passes of 55 and 78 yards, and stayed as an effective decoy the rest of the game.

He grew up in Roxbury, Massachusetts.

He played on the Redskins alongside another future Hall of Famer, the quarterback Sammy Baugh , and was one of Baugh's favorite deep targets.
