Pakistani cricket bowler who is considered one of the best ever to play. He took more than three hundred wickets in both Test and ODI cricket and became head coach of the Pakistani cricket team after retirement.

The pinky on his left hand was accidentally cut off, temporarily derailing his cricket career.

He set a record by becoming the youngest-ever Test captain for Pakistan at twenty-two years and fifteen days old.

He has children named Azaan and Maira with Dr. Faryal Waqar Younis.

He and Wasim Akram formed one of the most lethal bowling combinations of their era while representing Pakistan.
