ABOUT WANDER FRANCO

Former top prospect who plays infielder and signed with the Tampa Bay Rays in July 2017. Prior to the 2020 season, he was the highest-ranked prospect in all of baseball. His baseball fame has led him to garner more than 350,000 followers on Instagram.

He first made his national baseball debut at the 2019 All-Star Futures Game at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.

On June 20, 2021, he made his MLB debut against the Boston Red Sox . During that same game, he got his first career hit on a home run against Eduardo Rodríguez .

He is the son of Wander Franco and Nancy Aybar. His father, Wander, played professional baseball in the minor leagues and his mother, Nancy, is the sister of professional baseball player Erick Aybar . He has two brothers named Wander Alexander and Wander Javier who are also professional baseball players.

He played alongside Austin Meadows during the 2021 MLB Season.
