Reality star best known for competing on Survivor : Blood vs. Water, alongside brother and Survivor: Panama winner Aras Baskauskas . Although he was eliminated on Day 3, he also briefly competed on the Second Chance series of Survivor, which took place in Cambodia. He frequently posts about his time on the series and his work as a yoga instructor to his vytasyoga Twitter account, which currently has  10,000 followers.

He is a math professor and yoga instructor. He often speaks openly about how yoga helped him overcome addiction and self-criticism. He published an essay on the topic in the 2014 anthology Yoga & Body Image: 25 Personal Stories About Beauty, Bravery + Loving Your Body.

While competing on Survivor: Blood vs. Water, he lost over 18 pounds. His vytasyoga Instagram page is a popular hub for him to share snapshots of him doing yoga, as well as outdoor and recreational activities that he participates in. His page has accrued more than 40,000 fans.

His grandfather is the late actor Macdonald Carey . He and his girlfriend have a son named Asa who was born in 2014.

He was eliminated from Survivor: Blood vs. Water by castmates Tyson Apostol and Gervase Peterson .
