Lithuanian professional basketball coach who coached several teams, including the Lithuanian National Team.

He began his career as coach of Zalgiris Kaunas in 1979.

He became the president of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation after he retired as a coach.

His parents raised him in Linkuva, Lithuania.

He coached Arvydas Sabonis on the Lithuanian national team.
