ABOUT VIRGINIE FORTIN

Canadian comedian and actress known for her work on Saturday Day Night Live (SNL) Quebec, on the shows Club Soly (2021) and Série Noire (2014), and for the film 23 Décembre (2022). She is also known for her standup comedy performances.

She majored in French literature at McGill University and minored in both Hispanic studies and Russian and Slavic studies. She first had an interest in improv rather than standup comedy. She did stand-up for the first time when she was 24 years old in Chicago. Her career took off in the year 2013 after she won the television comedy competition "En route vers mon premier gala Juste pour rire."

She is a singer in the music group Which is Which alongside her sister Corinne. She prefers doing comedy in English instead of French despite French being her native language. She was one of five comics featured in the documentary Les 5 Prochains, which is a series focusing on young comics.

She was born and raised in Longueuil, Québec, Canada. She is the daughter of actor and voice actor Bernard Fortin. She has one sister named Corinne.

She acted in the film 23 Décembre alongside François Arnaud .
