Veniamin Margolin

ABOUT VENIAMIN MARGOLIN

Principal trumpet player for the Leningrad Philharmonic Orchestra and professor at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory.

Margolin took up trumpet playing when he was eleven and attended the Saint Petersburg Conservatory.

Besides being a trumpeter, Margolin was a poet.

He grew up in Petrograd.

Both he and Teddy Buckner were heavily influenced by Louis Armstrong.
