Comedian who was named the Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2023. She went on her first comedy tour called It's Funny to Me in India in 2025. She has over 440,000 followers on her uroojashfaq Instagram account where she shares clips from her family and her life.
She moved to Mumbai at the age of 12 and then received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Jai Hind College.
She first performed stand up at the age of 21. Within a year she became a finalist on TLC's show Queens of Comedy. She was inspired by Sarah Silverman .
Her middle name Ashfaq comes from her father.
She was the first person of South Asian ancestry to win Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Award since Arj Barker in 1997.
