Bowler who was bought by the Delhi Daredevils for $750,000, and became one of the top bowlers for the Indian national team.

He made his first-class debut for Vidarbha against Madhya Pradesh in the 2008–09 Ranji Trophy.

He became the first Vidarbha cricketer to go on and play Test cricket.

His father was a coalmine worker from Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh.

He and Ashok Dinda both played domestic cricket for the Delhi Daredevils.
