Left-handed reliever that was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks during the ninth round of the 2018 Major League Draft. He was drafted out of Florida State University . In 2017, he was named a member of the first-team All-ACC.

He initially began his professional career playing for the Arizona League Diamondbacks. He was later sent to the Low-A Hillsboro Hops.

He made his major league debut pitching against the St. Louis Cardinals on April 28, 2022. He pitched four straight scoreless outings to begin his MLB career. He is also active on Instagram, where he uses his tholt14 page to post photos from his personal life, as well as his playing career.

He grew up living with his family in Tallahassee, Florida. He is one of two siblings.

He once played college baseball at Florida State, just like Buster Posey .
