ABOUT TRACEY GENDRON

Author and researcher known for her work on the problem of ageism. She has served as Chair of the Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Gerontology. Her book, Ageism Unmasked: Exploring Age Bias and How to End It, was published in 2022.

She attended the University of Central Florida and Virginia Commonwealth University . She has earned both her Masters degree and a Ph.D., the latter in Developmental Psychology.

She was interviewed for a 2022 online feature for Forbes. She has published in academic journals such as the Journal of Applied Gerontology, the Journal of Gerontology and Geriatrics Education, and the International Journal of Aging and Human Development. As well as being an author, she is also an activist and professor.

She is from the United States.
