ABOUT TONY WILSON

Journalist and entertainer who worked almost exclusively with big networks like Granada Television and the BBC and was known as Mr. Manchester.

He matriculated from the University of Cambridge, where he majored in English.

In addition to his journalistic successes, he was also one of the five founders of Factory Records, a record label based out of Britain.

He had two children with his second wife, Hilary, named Oliver and Isabel.

He once served as the manager of Joy Division, a band in which Ian Curtis was the lead singer.
