Lead guitarist for the heavy metal band Godsmack who also has the side project Another Animal.

He started teaching himself the guitar at age eleven.

Metal was not initially his career choice, and he went into carpentry after finishing school before pursuing a musical career.

He has three stepchildren named Joe, Trisha, and AJ with wife Sue.

He played covers of songs by Mike Starr and Alice in Chains with his band before Godsmack.
