Well known for playing Sergeant Matt Boyden on the British police drama The Bill, he is also notable for his role as Father Thaddeus on the Irish soap opera Fair City, as well as for his portrayal of Ollie Walters on EastEnders.
Early in his career, he appeared in episodes of the television series Me and My Girl and Three Up, Two Down.
He appeared in a 2007 television advertisement for the Kleenex tissue brand.
He was born in London, England.
He and Dexter Fletcher were both in the cast of the 2015 film The Coven.
