ABOUT TONY MUNDINE
One of the greatest Indigenous Australian fighters, held Middleweight, Light Heavyweight, Cruiserweight and Heavyweight titles.
He played rugby and was a centre three-quarter for a Grafton Rugby League team.
He received The Ella Award for Lifetime Achievement in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sport at the Deadly Awards in 2004.
His son is World Super Middleweight Champion Anthony Mundine .
He and swimmer Stephanie Rice are both athletes who have received the Medal of Order of Australia.
