ABOUT TONY CONIGLIARO

Outfielder best remembered for his days with the Boston Red Sox. In 1965, at age 22, he became the youngest player ever to lead the American League in home runs.

He was signed by the Red Sox as a 17-year-old in 1962.

He suffered a broken jaw and a damaged retina after being hit with a pitch in 1967. He won the Comeback Player of the Year award following a lengthy recovery in 1969.

He has a daughter named Jessica.

He dated model and actress Mamie Van Doren .
