ABOUT TOMMY LLOYD

American basketball coach. He started his coaching career as an assistant to Mark Few at Gonzaga University . He took over as the head coach at the University of Arizona in 2021.

He played college basketball at Walla Walla Community College, Colorado State University-Pueblo, and Whitman College. He also played professionally in Australia and Germany.

After his professional playing career ended, he and his wife spent months backpacking through several continents. This led to him finding his niche at Gonzaga as the team's international recruiter. He landed some of Gonzaga's key players over the years, including Rui Hachimura , Elias Harris , Ronny Turiaf , and Kelly Olynyk , among many others.

He was born and raised in Kelso, Washington. He and his wife Chanelle have two daughters and a son Liam who plays basketball at Northern Arizona University. While their home in Spokane was being built in 2018, they lived in the home of Gongaza legend and NBA Hall of Famer John Stockton .

At Gonzaga, he helped develop players like Adam Morrison , Zach Collins , and Brandon Clarke into NBA-ready stock.
