ABOUT TOLU OGUNLESI

Scottish-born Nigerian journalist and blogger who was named Special Assistant on Digital/New Media by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016. He won CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Awards in both 2009 and 2013.

He received a master's degree in creative writing from the University of East Anglia.

He authored the poetry book Listen to the Geckos Singing from a Balcony and the novel Conquest & Conviviality.

He's been based in the Nigerian cities of Lagos and Abuja.

He rose to prominence as a well-known journalist with Nigerian roots like Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo .
