ABOUT TODD MCDERMOTT
American journalist who is best known for working for WPBF in West Palm Beach, Florida. He also reported for and served as an occasional host and anchor for the The Early Show and CBS This Morning while living in New York.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Canisius University.
From the years 1998 to 2000, he worked for WMAR-TV in Baltimore, Maryland as a news anchor, where he won an Emmy for Best Anchor.
From 2000 to 2004, he worked for WCBS-TV in New York City, New York, where he covered the September 11 attacks in Lower Manhattan.
He won him an Associated Press Award for outstanding reporting for his reporting of Ground Zero on the one year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
He and his wife have four children together.
In January 2015, he reported live on historic diplomatic talks between the Barack Obama administration and the Raul Castro regime with a team from WPBF-TV.
