ABOUT TIM MAYZA

Left-handed reliever that was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays during the 12th round of the 2013 Major League Draft. He pitched for the Blue Jays during the 2022 American League Division Series.

He was drafted out of Millersville University of Pennsylvania. During his senior season, he recorded a 1.55 ERA with a 11-3 record. He played basketball and soccer, as well as baseball, in high school.

He was pitching to Aaron Judge when he hit his 61st home run on September 28, 2022. He is also known by the nickname Mayz. He briefly played in the Cape Cod Baseball League, before heading to the majors.

Although he was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania he grew up living with his family in the Red Hill area.

He played alongside Bo Bichette and Teoscar Hernández as a member of the Blue Jays during the 2022 ALDS.
