English sociologist, commentator, and writer who is best recognized for her work as a Culture Editor for Sociology Compass. She is also known for her popular book Keeping Their Marbles.

She was a visiting fellow at the London School of Economics. She started gaining attention for her writings in 2011 when she published her first book Contesting Human Remains in Museum Collections.
