ABOUT TERRY O'REILLY

Known for his time hosting various sociological radio shows for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's Radio One. In 2012, he began his time as host of the series Under the Influence, which has examined the evolving marketing world.

He graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in radio and television arts in 1981. In 1990, he launched his own radio production company called Pirate Radio & Television.

In 2009, he had his first book, The Age of Persuasion: How Marketing Ate Our Culture, officially published. His second ever show, The Age of Persuasion, also broadcast to the Chicago radio station WBEZ.

He was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.

He and fellow Canadian broadcaster Stuart McLean both rose to prominence through their work with CBC Radio.
