3-time WBC Light Middleweight Champion, IBF Light Middleweight Champion from December 1995–March 1997.
He was a star baseball player but declined scholarships to schools after getting into a brawl on the field.
He was elected to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2005.
His brother is Cruiserweight champion Orlin Norris .
He settled a lawsuit by Don King out of court for $7.5 million in 2005.
