Known best for her childhood role in the 2007 Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson film The Bucket List, Thompson is also notable for her performances in the television movies Amish Grace and Liz and Dick.
In her early childhood years, she began her acting training at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles.
She portrays actor Richard Burton 's young daughter, Kate, in the 2012 biographical TV movie Liz and Dick.
She and her brother Trevor grew up in Los Angeles, California.
She shares the big screen with fellow child actor Jacob Hopkins in the 2015 science fiction movie The Universe.
