Taylor Goldsmith

ABOUT TAYLOR GOLDSMITH

American singer and guitarist most famous for being the frontman for the folk-rock band Dawes. In 2011, he recorded an album with Middle Brother, which features members of Deer Tick and Delta Spirit.

He attended Malibu High School in California. He was originally a member of the post-punk band Simon Dawes, who were active in the mid-2000's.

His band Dawes' album All Your Favorite Bands landed at number one on the U.S. Folk charts upon its release in 2015.

His brother Griffin Goldsmith has played drums for Dawes. In 2015, he began dating pop star Mandy Moore . He and Mandy got engaged in September 2017 and married in November 2018. Their first child together, a son named August, arrived in February 2021. In June 2022, the couple announced that they were expecting their second child together. Taylor and Mandy welcomed a son named Oscar Bennett Goldsmith in October 2022.

He was bandmates with guitarist Blake Mills in Simon Dawes.
