ABOUT TAWFIQ CANAAN
Palestinian scientist, doctor, and ethnographer who studied folklore and researched the validity of superstition. He collected over 1,400 amulets and talismanic objects during his career.
He was a medical officer for the Ottoman Empire during World War I.
He published two books on the troubles in Palestine.
He was born and raised in Palestine, which was then a part of the Ottoman Empire.
He was a contemporary of Khalil al-Sakakini , the anti-semite.
