Tanner Scott Rainey
ABOUT TANNER SCOTT RAINEY
Right-handed relief pitcher that was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds during the third round of the 2015 Major League Draft. He was later packaged in a trade to the Washington Nationals in December 2018.
Prior to being drafted, he attended the University of West Alabama where he pitched and played first base. He originally attended Southeastern Louisiana University.
He made his official major league debut pitching against the Philadelphia Phillies on April 10, 2018 as a member of the Reds. He pitched one inning and recorded two strikeouts.
Growing up, he lived with his family in Folsom, Louisiana. He now lives with his wife, Kelsey.
He was once involved in a trade that also included Tanner Roark .
