Tanisha Lovely Wright

ABOUT TANISHA LOVELY WRIGHT

American basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Atlanta Dream of the WNBA. She was drafted 12th overall in the 2005 WNBA draft by the Seattle Storm and played 14 seasons for the team before retiring in 2019. She began coaching in 2020

She played collegiate basketball for the Penn State University Nittany Lions.

She helped lead the Seattle Storm to their second championship win in 2010. She was also honored as the Big Ten Defensive Player of he Year three times from 2003 to 2005.

She was raised in Mifflin, Pennsylvania.

She coaches Tiffany Hayes and Danielle Robinson on the Atlanta Dream.
