Malaysian singer-songwriter, actor, and writer who held the #1 Performer of Asia title beginning in 1989.
He received a law degree from the University of Malaya and became an attorney.
He worked intermittently as a journalist and cartoonist and he also wrote an autobiography.
He was one of seven children born to Hj Arshad Hassan and Ramlah Dahlan. He was married to Kamariah Jamaluddin for three years, before divorcing in 1984.
