Former pitcher who won the World Series as a member of the Baltimore Orioles in 1983 before winning it again with the the Oakland Athletics in 1989. In 1988, he won the American League Comeback Player of the Year award in 1988.

He was born in Dallas, Texas and began his MLB career with the Baltimore Orioles in 1982.

His three-year, $6 million contract with the Kansas City Royals came as a major surprise to baseball fans due to the fact that his ERA was lower than the league average.

His real name is George Earl Davis. His son Zachary played football at Liberty University.

He won the 1989 World Series alongside series MVP Dave Stewart .
