ABOUT STEVE MARMEL

Writer and standup comedian known for his work on a variety of popular animated series including The Fairly Odd Parents and Danny Phantom. He also created the Disney sitcom Sonny with a Chance.

He was only eighteen when he began performing standup comedy and, in 1996, was discovered by an exec at Hanna Barbera who thought he'd be a good writer for Johnny Bravo.

He has worked as a producer on a number of different television series like So Random!, Family Guy, and Mech-X4.

Though originally from Illinois, he and his wife settled in Los Angeles, California.

In 2015, he penned the script for Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla 's film Smosh: The Movie.
