ABOUT STEVE MARKER

Guitarist and member of the long-running Wisconsin-based rock band Garbage, the group known for "Stupid Girl."

He studied film at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His entry into a music career began when he met Butch Vig in Madison.

He started Smart Studios in Wisconsin and does production work there.

He has a daughter named Ruby who was born in 2000.

He drew great influence from Paul McCartney and The Beatles.
