ABOUT STEVE LIEBER
Comic book illustrator whose best-known works included "Hawkman" and "Detective Comics." His style was influenced by such artists as Milton Caniff , Alex Toth, Alex Raymond , and Howard Chaykin.
He attended Pennsylvania State University, but he transferred to The Kubert School before graduating where he was mentored by the legendary Joe Kubert .
He was a popular fixture on the comic-book convention circuit. He continued to achieve critical praise with his work on "Superior Foes of Spider-Man" for Marvel Comics, with his tenure on the title beginning in July 2013.
He married the writer Sara Ryan.
His miniseries "Whiteout" garnered so much acclaim it was made into a 2009 film starring Kate Beckinsale .
