Stefano Pioli

ABOUT STEFANO PIOLI

Italian soccer coach and former defender who made over 150 appearances for Fiorentina from 1989-1995. He served as head coach of AC Milan and led them to their first Serie A title in over a decade.

He is from Parma, Italy. He was first signed with Juventus and won the Serie A title, the European Cup, the European Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup during his three seasons with them. He ended his playing career in 1999.

He was awarded Serie A Coach of the Year in 2022. He was the head coach of Fiorentina when the captain Davide Astori unexpectedly passed away and to honor him, he got a commemorative tattoo.

His children are Carlotta Pioli and Gianmarco Pioli. His parents are Pasquino Pioli and Luisa Pioli.

He has coached along side Daniele Bonera .
