ABOUT STEFAN SIMOCHOWITZ

Art collector and curator known for promoting up-and-coming artists through his popular social media accounts. In 2015, he was named by Art Review Magazine in the Top 100 most influential people in contemporary art.

He earned a degree in economics from Stanford University and would then go on to study at the American Film Institute.

In 1999, he co-founded the visual content company MediaVast, a company that sold for over 200 million to Getty Images in 2007.

He spent his early life in South Africa but traveled often in his youth. His son and wife appear in numerous photos on his popular Instagram account.

A film producer, his production company is responsible for numerous features and short films, including Darren Aronofsky 's Requiem for a Dream.
