ABOUT SIDRA IQBAL

Journalist and infopreneur best known as the host and producer of the Pakistani news program Aaj Pakistan for Recorder Television Network. She is the founder and curator of a public diplomacy initiative called Raabta. She also boasts an audience of over 1 million followers on her iqbalsidra Instagram account.

She formerly served as the Youth Advisor for the Ministry of Education in the UAE's Women as Global Leaders program. Early in her career, she was also declared the winner of the English-Speaking Union's International Public Speaking Championship.

In 2014, the government of the UAE and the Indian Television Academy honored her with the GR8 Women Award for Journalism in Dubai for Meaningful Contribution to Advocacy.

She has two younger sisters. She has stated that she inherited her public speaking skills from her father, who was a devoted debater.

She is often recognized for her striking resemblance to film actress and model Aishwarya Rai Bachchan .
