Shea Langeliers

ABOUT SHEA LANGELIERS

Professional catcher that was drafted by the Atlanta Braves during the first round of the 2019 Major League Draft. He was later acquired by the Oakland Athletics via trade in March 2022. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at Baylor University .

He is a graduate of Keller High School in Keller, Texas. Although he decided to attend Baylor, he was originally drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays during the 34th round of the 2016 MLB Draft.

He made his official major league debut playing against the Texas Rangers on August 16, 2022 as a member of the Athletics. He finished the game 1 for 4. He was the ninth overall pick in the 2019 MLB draft, which included Alek Manoah .

He grew up living with his family in Portland, Oregon.

He was once packaged in a trade that included Matt Olson .
