Highly acclaimed culinary chef who became known from his performance on Fox's hit show MasterChef . He also became the celebrity chef on Khloe Kardashian 's FYI reality show Kocktails with Khloé .

He was formerly a financial planner before taking a leave of absence in 2009 to pursue a culinary apprenticeship.

He founded his own barbecue sauce company called Haks BBQ.

He is the grandson of Holocaust survivors from Poland. He is also of Israeli descent and spent every summer in Israel growing up.

He was on celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay 's Master Chef cooking gameshow.
