ABOUT SHANE AUSTIN BAZ

Professional pitcher who was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates during the first round of the 2017 MLB Draft. He was later acquired by the Tampa Bay Rays via trade in August 2018.

He began his professional career playing for the Pirates' rookie affiliate team the GCL Pirates.

He made his MLB debut playing against Toronto Blue Jays on September 20, 2021 as a member of the Rays.

He is a native of Houston, Texas.

He played alongside Wander Franco as a member of the Rays during the 2021 MLB season.
