ABOUT SEAN HJELLE

Right-handed relief pitcher that was drafted by the San Francisco Giants during the second round of the 2018 Major League Draft. He was drafted out of the University of Kentucky . He was named the SEC Pitcher of the Year in 2017.

He is a graduate of Mahtomedi High School. While there he played both baseball and basketball.

He stands at 6-foot-eleven-inches. He is the tallest pitcher in MLB history. Throughout the course of his MLB career, he has recorded more than fifteen strikeouts.

He grew up living with his family in Fridley, Minnesota. He is the youngest of three siblings. He and his wife, Caroline, have two children together.

He credits Roberto Clemente as being his favorite athelete growing up.
